Die schönen Erinnerungen an das tolle Land und nicht zuletzt die unglaublich gemütliche Atmosphäre in Ihrem Old Schoolhouse wirken aber positiv nach. Wir haben die Zeit in Schottland und auf Skye sehr genossen und möchten uns dafür noch einmal ganz herzlich bei Ihnen bedanken. Ganz liebe Grüße von uns allen! Mathias für unsere kleine Reisegruppe

Wir haben uns in Ihrem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit auf Skye sehr genossen. Das Wetter hat wunderbar mitgespielt - eine Woche Sonnenschein, wenn auch manchmal etwas kühl. Erst am Abreisetag schüttete es wie aus Kübeln, passend zu unserer Stimmung. Aber der Regenbogen über Kyleakin tröstete. Noch einmal vielen Dank und alles Gute. Ihre Klara Bothen

In fact, we went 3 short times in Skye since this last 15 years, and it's with pleasure that I see that the isle keep his so special atmosphere. The Old Schoolhouse and his location were exately what we expected when we searched a location on internet. We had also good contacts with John & Debbie, and their eggs were as you said... We have been in Skye many times but our week at Easter time will be hard to beat! However we hope to try again possibly next year all being well. We will be in touch if it works out. We thoroughly enjoyed our week (we were lucky enough to have good weather) and enjoyed once again the isolation and escape that we've come to enjoy from time to time in the wilds of winter Skye!! The house is a great place to stay, most comfortable and charming. It is a unique place, thank you for sharing it. By the way, just as we were leaving an old gentleman pulled up in front of the house, it turned out he had been born there, he had a look around and was obviously very moved. It was a lovely experience. Skye is full of stories, everything is a narrative leading to another story, just like a tapestry all the threads weaving together! Magic.

Familie Lieske aus Duisburg	received on 11-10-2007 at 23:00 CET Die Woche im Oktober in Schottland und Eurem Haus war ein super tolles Erlebnis. Eurem Haus merkt man die Liebe zum Detail und vor allem die Liebe zu Schottland an. Der Weg ins Schlafzimmer konnte schon ´mal etwas länger dauern, weil man erstmal alle historischen Plakate betrachten konnte. Unvergesslich in der Erinnerung wird uns der Abend mit Euren "Keyholdern" Debbie und John mit deren Familie bleiben. Wir haben uns köstlich amüsiert. Es danken Euch und Euren Kindern für diese tolle Zeit Eure Freunde Atti, Dieti und (drum)-Sören

Die Tage in Ihrem schönen Haus haben in besonderem Maße dazu beigetragen. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohlgefühlt! Aufgrund Ihrer guten Internetseite hatten wir hohe Erwartungen - sie wurden alle erfüllt und durch viele besondere Erfahrungen (Landschaft, Licht, Vegetation) in der unmittelbaren und weiteren Umgebung des Hauses ergänzt. Der Abend mit Ihrem schottischen Freund Alex war eine besondere Erfahrung, wir haben noch immer unseren Spaß, wenn wir uns daran erinnern. Viele wunderbare Eindrücke sind auf unserer "Festplatte" gespeichert und können hoffentlich noch lange abgerufen werden, unsere Fotos helfen uns dabei. Krist & Kris	received on 30-10-2007 at 10:01 CET dear Elke and Norbert, thank you for the most marvelous holiday we ever had! House: great. Cosy, well-equipped, superbly decorated. We felt at home at once. Region: superb. Stunning views, quiet roads, good restaurants (have tried "Café Arriba" at Portree: excellent), friendly neighbours, whales in bay at Neist Point. Weather: fantastic: sunny and warm, up to 20°. Only 2 days with rain. We will warmly recommend you to our friends. Thanks again. Krist & Kris Debruyn-Somers
chris & hannah	received on 07-04-2006 at 12:34 CET An excellent trip all in all. We arrived at night, got a bit lost as it was pitch black so called the neighbour John who proceeded to guide us in by phone and then went over and above the call of duty to stand flashing a torch outside the door!! We also had a small problem with the Sky TV, gave John a call and 30 seconds later he's at the door and problem solved in minutes……a true gent. We woke up the next morning to stunning views across the water from the bedroom window, had a roam around the cottage and it has everything you could ever require. It's very nicely decorated as well. Managed to fit in quite a bit of walking in and around the area, glorious scenery wherever you go and not enough time to take it all in but well worth the effort. The weather had been pretty miserable before we got there but was bright sunshine for the few days we were there, we're not usually that lucky though! It's classed as off season (late May) so not too much open but this wasn't really a concern. We took the coastal road round to portree one day, climbed up the storr, great views, then had a wander round portree and a lovely meal in the evening. The school house is a great place to stay and for complete solitude and great scenery it cant be beaten. We'll definitely be back.

Clare, Alastair & Ruth McConkey	received on 18-08-2005 at 17:43 CET The well-equipped and thoughtfully furnished Old Schoolhouse gave us a comfortable base from which to explore Northern Skye. We were blessed with good weather during our week at the beginning of August 2005 and were able to take full advantage of the spectacular scenery. The quiet situation of the Schoolhouse, with its beautiful views across Dunvegan Loch, more than lived up to our expectations and provided us with a peaceful break from the stresses of life in the London suburbs.
Valerie & Karsten Popp	received on 19-05-2005 at 23:13 CET We stayed at the Old Schoolhouse in May 2005. The isle of Skye and the Old Schoolhouse are a highly recommendable place for a holiday. The island's landscape is of breath-taking beauty and the Old Schoolhouse is a wonderfully cozy place where any stressed soul (in particular ours...) will find a peaceful little nest. By the way, there's no need to be worried about the weather: We had a whole week of splendid sun!! We also want to thank Debbie and John, the Old Schoolhouse's neighbours, who take care of the house. They gave us a very warm welcome, delicious eggs from their croft and a very special tour right through their uncountable farm animals. Last but not least it needs to be pointed out that "Edward" (that's what we named the dishwasher) provided a substantial part to the enjoyability of our stay. :-)) We hope to come back sometime! V&K
Nina	received on 09-04-2005 at 23:22 CET Ups, da muss ich kurz verbessern! Wir (Stefan, Jeanny und ich) waren natürlich im Mai 2004 auf Skye. Und noch einmal auf deutsch: Es war fantastisch und ein unvergesslicher Urlaub! Es gab auf dieser wunderschönen Insel so viel zu sehen und zu entdecken, dass die paar Tage gar nicht ausreichten, um alles kennen zu lernen. Aber es war einfach toll nach einem ereignisreichen Tag in das wunderschöne, alte Schulhaus zu kommen und sich sofort zu Hause zu fühlen. Wir haben uns ganz besonders wohl gefühlt, nicht nur durch die wunderbare Lage, die den einmaligen Blick aus dem Schlafzimmerfenster möglich und unvergessen machte, sondern auch durch die liebevoll inszinierten Details, die jedes Zimmer zu etwas Assergewöhlichem machen. Selbst an solche einfachen Dinge, dass die Sonne durch das Küchenfenster schien, während wir am Tisch spielten, haben sich in mein Gedächtnis gebrannt. Vielleicht haben wir mit Absicht nicht die ganze Insel erkundet, damit wir auf jeden Fall noch einmal wieder kommen müssen :-)

The cottage is very comfortable. You wont miss anything! If you go there with children you shouldt forget to visit (the neighbor) John and his little zoo :-)

K & K Farrent	received on 13-09-2004 at 09:01 CET Lovely cottage with real character! Well-equipped and in beautiful area of Skye. On a day with good visibility do not miss the stunning views from Waterstein Head. On a day with poor visibility do not miss the excellent food at the Three Chimneys.
Murray & Rachael Geddes	received on 22-06-2004 at 20:18 CET The house itself feels like a home from home the moment you walk through the door, and the views from the windows are fantastic. The Old School House restaurant in Dunvegan is a good place to eat, at reasonable prices, but booking is a good idea as it's popular. The Whitewave centre near Uig is good for activities like kayaking & canoeing, and the Skye Riding Centre is very good for pony trekking, so good that Rach went twice!

The Hastings Gang	received on 11-06-2003 at 00:28 CET Perfect accomodation for a young family. Debbie and Dean's fresh eggs are a must and heaps of cool animals to see too. The views from the house and en route to the house are stunning. The Island Life Museum and Crofting museums were brilliant for kids to wander around and interesting for adults and the Bella Jane boat trip to Loch Coruisk is worth doing for the drive to Elgol alone! The toy museum, however, has burnt down but is expected to re-open shortly.

Wir nerven schon alle in unserem Umfeld mit unseren Erzählungen, zumal wir ja auch noch ein Top-Wetter hatten. Ich gehe eigentlich ganz fest davon aus, nochmals in Borreraig zu gastieren!
